Variations

To mix things up a bit, you can try a few of these variations throughout your workout routine:

Face left or right the entire time, and instead of moving your feet from side to side, move them in front and behind you. You can do half of the songs facing left and the other half facing right.

Alternatively, step extra wide! When stepping from side to side, move your feet out just a bit further to really stretch your legs. The additional stride will really add to your workout. Likewise, when jumping, try to jump extra high.

You can also wear ankle weights to add some extra strain on your leg muscles. Again, start out with lower weights and make sure they are secured properly before starting your workout.

Another variation is to use a resistance band. You can place this under one of your feet and hold it up with both your hands as you follow the movements.
